Bundaleer Event Centre progress

The event centre, being constructed by Sanders Building Group, is versatile in its design, with capacity for 160 people but equally suited to a smaller gathering.

Construction is on target, and all being well, the centre will be available to hire from December 2020.

The Bundaleer event centre is the cornerstone of BFCAA’s strategic vision to create a sustainable future for the picnic ground precinct in Australia’s oldest plantation forest.

This project has received support from all tiers of government, with an additional $260,000 from State Government and $100,000 ForestrySA, $200,000 from Northern Areas Council and $100,000 from the Federal Government.

Funding has also been received through Neoen Hornsdale Windfarm Community Fund and the ANZ community referral program (please mention BFCAA when approaching ANZ for finance- it costs you nothing and makes a huge difference to Bundaleer).

Volunteer efforts of BFCAA Board members and the wider community have been integral to the project to date, and will continue on the home stretch, with funds still needing to be raised for catering fit out and landscaping. Any support is greatly appreciated!

BFCAA also welcomes community input into the naming of the centre. Suggestions so far include Bundaleer Pavilion and Bundaleer Event Centre. Please text any ideas to consider to Mel on 0467 002 256.
