Country Spirit and Something for Everyone at the Jamestown Show
The Jamestown Show is back on the Sunday & Monday of the October long weekend, promising two full days of country tradition, family fun, and community spirit.
The Jamestown Show attracts thousands of visitors each year and continues to showcase the very best of rural life. From livestock and wool competitions to working dog demonstrations, vintage cars, including shearing and wool-handling comps, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy.
Crowd favourites will return in 2025, including the dazzling WSB Distributors Fireworks Display on Sunday evening, cooking demos, and the ever-popular fashion parades celebrating local retailers. Sideshow Alley will offer plenty of show games, rides and classic show food, while children can enjoy hours of free fun with inflatables, the giant sandpit, and even laser skirmish.
This year’s program also brings extra excitement: the Dachshund Racing on Sunday 5th Oct from 4pm is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, along with the Toyota Ute Pull, Balco Sheaf Tossing, and plenty of live entertainment at the Round House on the Sunday night, including performances by Ella Hebberman and Paul Marner. Junior competitors can also get involved with free entries across a range of sections, ensuring the next generation stays at the heart of the show.
Adding even more variety, the Stacey Pavilion Show entries will showcase an incredible range of local talent and creativity including the new Section K- Poems and Stories, while the Scarecrow Competition (Section F) promises plenty of fun, and community spirit as imaginative displays will decorate the Stacey Pavilion foyer.
Approx 47 trade stalls including local producers, distillers and handmade crafters will highlight the region’s talent and flavours. Food options in abundance serving everyone’s tastebuds from hot spuds, pizzas, strawberries, Greek, Indian, ice creams and delicious hot coffee.
Jamestown Show President Amy Hagger said the event remains a highlight of the year for the community. “The show brings people together — whether they’re competing, exhibiting, or just enjoying the atmosphere, it’s a chance to celebrate everything we love about our region and town,” she said.
With competitions, entertainment, and displays for all ages, the 2025 Jamestown Show is set to be another unforgettable long weekend — with truly something for everyone.
